Price to pay for being nice
It doesn't always pay to be nice. Well maybe it did, and I just don't know it yet. Well hell.
At the movie event today, I couldn't help but have to say the F word (eventhough I'm already saying this word at a rate considered frequent compared to my peers). Let me tell you why and see if you would have a reaction like mine.
Went to row L, looking for our seats L17 and L18, passing by a fellow colleague,
Fellow coll: You guys are nice ppl!~ I'd always known you guys are nice!
Us: Don't talk crap lar... *while still looking ard trying to locate the seat no.*
After much checking and looking and searching, he and his parents were sitting at our seats!
Trying to be nice and understanding,
Us: What are your seat no.? *thinking we could maybe swap with him*
Fellow coll: E29, L16 and L36
Us: *stunned with blank face expression for 3 seconds*
Us: Now come on, how can you do this to us? *trying very hard not to sound pissed*
Fellow coll: Aww... you can take these 2 instead... it's ok right... etc... my parents are old... etc... etc... etc...
We were mad. That he was rude, and selfish and... and ... and ...
So I gave him the tickets, and said "you enjoy the show, and we'll go home. Bye."
He did try to come after us to apologise and attempted to return the seats but what the hell??? If we had accepted the return, your poor age-old dad and mum would have to sit at 2 far ends of the theatre and watch the show alone. So we decided to swallow the hogwash and gave the show a miss instead.
We then decided to go to a yakiniku restaurant at St James and charge him tmrw. Brilliant plan. And should he refuses, we shall send a PA to everyone in the dept detailing his act.
Never ever offend a woman. Even if you have to do so, do it nicely, so she'll at least like you and not be angry at you.
