work life:
still undergoing training, been attending online courses every other day. there are really ALOT to learn. and i heard this will go on for a month! gd gracios! but all colleagues advised me to treasure every single minute of my training, bcos once i start to have work coming in, it'll be hell. ppl usually knock off after 7pm even tho the official office hour ends at 5.30pm, and on wkends, there'll be ppl on duty. if circumstances require, u ought to stay up to watever time u need in the office, but this is rare. a common trait of the operation dept is that, ppl dun go toilet when they need to pee. they are so occupied that they only visit the toilet when they can't hold it any longer! NOW THIS IS BAD AND UNHEALTHY! i certainly do not hope to join in their league of 'pee only when u can't hold any longer'.

a new thing i found out, the colleague sitting beside me is not 50+, he is 65!! whoa~~ tht is unexpecting. my colleague is an ah pek, somehow my brain just can't process that as a logical truth altho i have totally nothing against it, i mean i still chat with him, ask him things, listen to his stories... he's quite nice overall except that he talks loud on the phone which can't be blame bcos he has hearing problem. well, age has certainly caught up with him. one day, we'll all be like that. i have colleagues of all ages... 60s, 50s, 40s, 30s, 20s. ppl around easily have >10 or 20 yrs experience. now that is impressive!

attended an ice-breaker session at chijmes on friday after work. it was meant for my co's staffs and another co, PONL's (which M recently acquired) staffs to mingle around. at the start, the church hall was filled with ppl altho there was no chair or table. as any usual event, the session took off with speeches, which i missed, whether deliberately or not it doesn't really matter. then came the food session!!! so everyone happily queued and ate and drank and chattered. then one hour later, i finished my food and drink and looked up: ey? how come the hall is now half empty?? so everyone was there for the food n drink, just like me. oops~ ha~ anyway, nothing interesting there happened except several ppl got kissed on the cheeks by ms angel and mr angel (they're supposed to be the 'professional minglers' but from what i see, wrong party mingling, if u get wat i mean) fr the event organising co which caused the constant woos and wahs every now and then. left for home pretty early cos it was boring. plus i had a glass of beer which made me feel sleepy. can't drink much, dun intend to learn to drink much anyway as beer is not gd for health. but i will learn how to take red wine in future, simply bcos it is gd for health!

chijmes is a nice place to hang out. real nice~ never been there, but will definitely go there again.

my aunt just got admitted to the hospital due to dengue, her platelet count is extremely low and she'll have to undergo blood transfusion. u can see how severe her condition is. she was first admitted to kluang's central hospital but they were not able to do blood transfusion, so they sent her to jb's central hospital immediately.

speaking of dengue, tht reminds me of my ah gong, who passed away last month. from what i c, he didn't die of natural death, he died of dengue. he had been admitted to the ONLY SPECIALIST HOSPITAL IN KLUANG and discharged by the doctor after 2 nights stay. the next day, fever recurred and b4 my uncles could send him to jb central hospital, he passed away on the way. WHICH SPECILIST HOSPITAL DISCHARGES DENGUE PATIENTS AFTER SUCH A SHORT STAY?? plus my ah gong had kidney problems. did they take that into consideration and keep him longer in the hopsital for observation? i do not know. noone pursued the matter. they just took it as natural death, and resulted in one less death count from dengue.

my advice? NEVER go to THAT SPECIALIST HOSPITAL EVER AGAIN IF YOU WANT TO LIVE. go straight to hospitals in big cities as they have more advanced technology and equipment which result in no delay in emergency cases.

another eg to show how 'SPECIALISED' that specialist hospital is. my uncle had a recur injury from an accident he had in singapore bcos he didnot take the doc's advice to stay at home and rest. he was sent to THAT SPECIALIST HOSPITAL and x-rays and everything else were taken. so turned out the docs there could not do anything, and his family requested him to be sent to the sg hospital where he was first treated. the doc in de sg hospital examined the x-ray images from THAT SPECIALIST HOSPITAL and said: so blur, how to c? it turned out that the x-ray images taken at THAT SPECIALIST HOSPITAL was not able to show water retention in my uncle's lungs. A SPECIALIST HOSPITAL?? BLURRY X-RAY IMAGES?? call urself 'SPECIALIST'?? now FO u SOAB who charges sky rocket rates and yet can't treat!

take my advice, but dun quote me, dun go to THAT SPECIALIST HOSPITAL in emergency cases. go straight to big cities', or the central hospital, even tho service and attitude sucks, at least they dun charge u sky high rates, and send u to jb's central hospital when they knw they can't help.
