2 of my jeans are out of action, i mean i've put on so much weight that I cant fit into those jeans!!! goodness, now then i realised how much i've piled on... and it all accumulate on the bottom!!! which explains why i could still fit into my tops but not bottoms... now that i'm working, i'm hoping that i could lose a bit of weight by skipping lunch everyday... my genes dictate that i'm the heavy bottom type. that means every pound that i gain will go there!! so i shall stop growing fat...
Oh~ Avril has a new album out!! It's called under my skin, VERY NICE!!!
all rite, this is the article i wanted to quote yesterday.
Cooking fresh vegetables is actually a no-brainer
Cooked food destroys almost 90-95% of the enzymes and co-enzymes contained in the foodstuffs themselves when the heat exceeds 118 degrees Farenheit. what that means is monumental in terms of the work your body must do to digest these foods using metabolic enzymes that might be needed elsewhere while the catalysts for digestion of these foodstuffs was right in the food itself. but we destroyed them by our tasty preparations. also, by cooking, especially frying, we tend to create carcinogens from the foodstuffs we are preparing for those whom we love and admire. that is a double tragedy.
enzymes and the natural bacterial flora that occupy the small intestine and assist our digestion are necessary for good nutrition. eliminating fastfoods from our vision for the moment, we should focus on our own preparations and the types of food we consume. firstly, digestion in man, with his anatomical design o fthe intestinal track from the mouth on down being similar to the herbivore and dissimilar to the carnivore, is rapid. it generally should take from 60 to 90 minutes to fully digest a meal. as soon as you add meat to the diet, that digestion takes up four times as long. this causes problems due to the system not being designed for this.
in carnivores, the digestive tube is much shorter and less convoluted, thus shortening the time necessary for digestion. in herbivores the system is longer to deal with the roughage of the diet and still extract the maximum amount of nutrition from the foodstuffs. when you introduce meat to the human diet, this results in a very sluggish digestion because of the difficulty of breaking it down, the state of confusion in the bacterial flora of the small intestine, and the extraordinary length of our digestive tube. the system was not desined to handle meat and therefore, it takes in inordinate amount of time for clearance. this results in contusions to the inner wall of the intestines due to acid secretions over a longer period of time than optimum, so the epithelial lining of the stomach and small intestine are more vulnerable to ulcer. in normal circumstances, these epithelial cells are protected from the acid secretions of the stomach with their own protective secretions, but prolonged exposure to the contents of the stomach breaks down that protection.
a diet without meat, but nonetheless cooked, moves through the digestive tube quicker but the nutrition gathered from the contents is minimized by the fact that all the enzymes and coenzymes within the foodstuff itself have been compromised by the cooking and therefore, digestion progresses with primarily the host's contribution of enzymes to break down the foodstuffs.
a diet of uncooked vegetables goes through the digestive tube at express rates due to all the enzymes in the foodstuffs being preserved. the enzymes and coenzymes act as catalysts for the chemical reactions in the digestive tube for the breakdown of foodstuffs into reduced sizeable molecules. these molecules or ions can then cross thesemipermeable membranes of theintestinalcapillary walls to be absorbed by the blood and taken to places in the body where they can be utilized to benefit the bodya nd the dweller within that body. as well, such a diet rejuvenates the good bacterial flora of the gut lining to repair previous insults to the digestive track and promote proper oxygenation of the tissues. poor bacterial flora results in on-going chronic disease processes, poor oxygenation of the tissues, tardy chemical reactions for the breakdown of digestive tbe contents and invitation for more serious complications such as parasites and the like. and at the centre of the tragedy are the heart, lungs, liver and kidneys.
if these uncooked vegetables are also organically grown, then the foodstuffs not only have the enzymes and coenzymes but are genetically naturally occuring in the habitat and not some product of a genetically engineered marketing ploy or have been sprayed with a pesticide which is still active when you injest the food. also processed foods in this category are suspect because the processing generally involves heat. one good example is raisins; if the packet does not say "sun-dried", then those raisins have been curled in the oven and all the enzymes have been destroyed. so best to buy your vegetabes at a health food shop where you know that what you buy is grown organically and no additives are there to make it look better and last longer.
a diet of fresh uncooked vegetables is relishable, but only after you have tried this diet for about two weeks. such a diet is full of potential for your body. the energy surge in transforming from the cooked food diets to uncooked food is tremendous. and you will see after a few weeks that this diet is tasty. but it is more subtle than your previous diet. and witha little inventiveness, you can even make it more tasty without losing any of the energy of this diet. yogurt is a healthy substitute and a good start, but to this you can add many tasty substances which are also healthy like fresh-squeezed lemon juice, milk, tomato sauce, spices like massala, oregano, coriander. you will see, your taste never had it so good. and it is absolutely shimmering with energy plus-plus. and that is only the beginning. see how your body responds to the energy, the low calories, ample enzymes to speed the digestive process, little oil, low cholesterol and ample roughage to prevent jams and keep things moving like the body likes to do. in the first few days of this diet, you may not notice a decrease in time for digestion to complete. but after a week on this diet it will be completely through you and gone within an hour. this is massive efficiency. your body will love u for it.
