New office + X'mas party + increased benefits!

Wow, many updates to go here. Just bear with me.

Increased benefit
due to P&O joining, we've got increased benefits! we're all given $750 to spend for personal optical expenses, family's medical and dental expenses, and several other kinds of expenses. however, family is defined as 'spouse and children', no parents, no siblings... that means this $750 is solely for myself.. good or bad?

mobile phone at gas station
we always see this sign in petrol station that says 'do not use of mobile phones' or sth like that. but is it true that usage of mobiles at petrol station can indeed blow up the station? Watch Brainiac and they did such a test in an isolated petrol filled cubicle. in fact they used many mobiles and not just one. but apparently the cubicle was not blown up. it did not even catch fire. So they did another test. a man wearing full nylon suit, rubbing himself all over to produce static electricity, and then put his finger on a copper wire that leads to the isolated petrol filled cubicle, BOOM! the cubicle was blasted at one instant! WICKED! the conclusion? dun wear nylon in petrol station.

Been trynna set up another homepge at hweekeng.multiply.com. it is still under construction, but some files are up already. also, have imported my blog into multiply, hopefully that means i don't have to maintain 2 sites... more pictures to be uploaded... way to go... really can't find the time.. but keep checking it out!

cheap accessories at china town
were in chinatown one evening afterwork and discovered sth cheap there! girls' accessories are sold at 3 for $10 there! those glittery necklaces, belts that are sold at abt $10 each elsewhere are sold at an amazing 3 for $10!! i'm definitely gonna go there again! Smith street that is. they are selling chinese new year accessories already. my advise is, go there b4 the CNY crowds start swarming in. my experiences tell me not to go china town at CNY time.

mobile phone going haywire
my mobile phone has not been working well... dam LG! it constantly has no reception, either that or it can't read my sim card... despite umpteen times of switching it on and off. it did not help at all. but some days it works fine... i knw it's time i shud get a new one, but this one is ONLY ONE DAM YEAR OLD!! i dun remember nokia lasting only 1 yr, i dun remembr motorola lasting only 1 yr, even alcatel and ericsson lasts much longer than 1 yr, but LG. will NEVER EVER get another LG again...

X'mas party
i did mention b4 that i'm in the organising committee of our dept x'mas party eh? well, one thing to look forward to, we wil not hav to pay for it (unlike the company dnd where we paid $10 each), plus each of us will be guaranteed a lucky draw prize of AT LEAST $100! Cool eh? well, bcos i'm in the committee, so we get to decide what kind of vouchers we all get. we'll definitely get either mobile phones vouchers or some telco vouchers. plus of course Tang's or Taka's vouchers. so, i'm waiting to be the lucky one who gets mobile vouchers and change a new phone!! muahahaha~~~ and the venue is at Equinox!!! Can it get cooler than that?? 70 floors above the ground, i hope the food and the entertainment is just as good.

office shifted this wkend
our office just shifted over the weekend. the new place is now at harbour front office tower 2. a very pretty place, very posh, very windy, very new and very executive. shall take some pictures soon. was there yesterday to settle my stuffs. it's only our dept who moved there. that means the rest of the company still stays in southpoint. y? cos our dept is expanding and they're renovating our old office so that it could fit us all plus our new colleagues fr P&O.

on another note, the bus journey from the bus stop downstairs of my flat, till i reach office, takes a bloody ONE AND A HALF HOURS!!! man... i knw MRT would not be much shorter cos i gotta change train at outram, walk a hell long way and board the NE line... at least i am guaranteed a seat in the bus, and not hving to keep changing trains. man, i'm going mad... need to find sth to do in the bus other than tuning in to 987FM. mayb moblog will be fun? i dunno, that is one possibility, but dunno how realistic it is for me.
